A Metal Staple

A Metal Staple

Judging by the crowd enthusiasm at Knotfest 2024 in Melbourne this year, you can't be a Metal fan and not like Pantera. I particularly enjoyed it as it was my first Dad/Son festival experience on account of AJ throwing his knee in a Mountain Biking mishap. I might have 'stretched' the truth to get my son through the Min Age limit of 15 yrs. I might have also filled in his absence from school form as 'attending a Cultural Learning Experience'...

As a guitarist myself, I consider Dimebag's riffage skills as 'legendary'. There is a simplicity with aspects of his driving riffs, a pleasure if you may. But then there is a complexity when he unleashes his 'shred' that reminds you that you are not, in fact, Dimebag. Zakk Wylde, however, has my complete and utter permission to be 'Dimebag'.

Although the random-o-meter picked only one song, I couldn't in good conscious leave it just at that.

And for that one motherf**ker at Knotfest that would not shut the f**k up and screamed out for Domination after every song ... even after they played Domination... here you go.
