Today is a slightly different post. For those that have been around since the beginning, you'll recognize that today is my 'Work Anniversary' - 23rd one to be exact. So, it's a fitting day to post this little ditty from Oz Rock stalwarts, Cosmic Psychos!
Although I don't ever recall a trip to the 'rubbery dub' coming up in our 'long lunch Thursdays', being considered the 'three old timers at the end of the bar' was something that was high on Daryl, Stu and I's ambition lists.
Saying that, we also thought the idea of us being a 'Pre-Cogs style 3-way CEO' (ala Minority Report) sounded like a good idea also. Released in 2002, Spielberg famously spent a fair amount of time talking to futurists about what a 'realistic' future might look like. It seems at least some of the peep's he talked to weren't too far from the truth (augmented reality based human interactive devices do indeed exist these days!).
But beyond that, within the first few months at the Big T, we figured how hard could it actually be for 3 people to have one job and actually make decisions: where there could never be a tie, and where we get to split the CEO's salary three ways! Oh, to be young, dumb and ... I'll stop there with the movie quotes.
