Speaking of rebirths, this one may be divisive.
I was never what you might call a massive Linkin Park fan. I had a couple of the albums, and I was VERY jealous of the Paul Reed Smith 10-tops they were packing! But that's probably where my fandom stopped. I'd not seen them live although the opportunity presented itself many times.
So, when it came to picking today's song, given I was already in a late 90's / early 00's Nu-metal / rappy bent, they popped to the top of the list. But that then presented a conundrum. Do I pick an OG? If so which one? Or do I go the path of growth and rebirth?
As I get older (wiser?), I find myself becoming just that little bit more accepting of things younger me may have (too quickly) dismissed. So, in a similar vein to me finding a new-found appreciation of Chester's vocal chops over the years (Chris Cornell's funeral point and case), maybe we need to be more accepting of the fact that the group of people he loved making music with still enjoy doing exactly that even though he is no longer with them...
