Now for the internal struggle... the following bands are touring in 2026 to Australia.
- Guns N' Roses - last seen live in 1993 @ Calder Park, just me
- A Perfect Circle - last seen live in 2000 @ the Palace, b and me
- Foo Fighters - last seen live in 2023 @ AAMI Park, with the entire family
- Probably others I don't yet know about!
I'm not trying to insinuate that ticketing agencies are scam artists ... but ... they've also not been getting a good rap lately with the advent of surge pricing etc!
I'm tipping that ticket sales have gone hard as they've been out now for a couple of weeks. I also reckon we're talking at least $150+ for a non-GA seated ticket in the nosebleeds. VIP tix to avoid the crowd I reckon will be starting at $500+ each! It all adds up when you want to take the entire family to enjoy the 'live concert' experience... but I suppose you only live once!
UPDATE: ok, so it got the better of me, and I went looking to see whether I was on the money (Melbourne shows only investigated):
- GNR - $285 each for what I would say are B-reserve tix, else it's the nosebleeds or the VIP packages in B-reserve that start at $499 each.
- FOO - $624 demand pricing for what would have been $250 A-reserve tix maybe. It does look like a large chunk of seats up front were reserved in this manner ☹️
- APC - $190 A-reserve left in reasonable locations
