I have (in a box somewhere) a Roadrunner sample cassette tape of this release. You know, from when you used to go to gigs, and there would be record label reps there, and they wanted you to buy the 'next big thing' album that was about to be (or had just been) released, so they gave you (as in free, as in free beer) an EP with 2-3 songs on it.
I can't recall for the life of me which band we saw the night I procured this particular tape. They were always at The Palace, St Kilda. I recall at least one of the Album B-sides being on this particular sampler (0-0 (Where Evil Dwells)). But beyond that I couldn't tell you unless I went box diving to try and find it again! Of course they got played in the VN Commodore Cassette Deck, at hideous volume, whilst cruising the streets of Melbourne.
Either way, here is to the 'ye olde days' of buying shit because someone was nice enough to let you try before you buy, then listening to it uninterrupted from start to finish.
BTW - this is SUCH a good album. Go listen to entire thing. Start to finish. Uninterrupted.
