Another Triple J compilation find. Today's song featured on Triple J's 1997 Live at the Wireless compilation (Volume 4, 'lust for live'). It also did quite well that year in the Hottest 100, reaching number 39. So many good songs in that list...
Anyway, on the back of this song, I became enamoured with 'Something for Kate', and so a number of their albums found their way into the collection. No wall of fuzz, no screaming vocals, no pummelling double-bass. Just an ear wormy guitar riff and a sufficient level of syncopation that hooks you in.
