You've got some fire on you

I have David Lynch to blame for exposing me to Rammstein. Featuring prominently in the OST for the late 90's brain bender, Lost Highway, these pioneers of German 'industrial' metal are as distinctive as they come.

Being the sheltered little Westerner I was at the time with only Yr8 French under my belt, I had no idea of what they were singing about, but you definitely got the sense it was firmly tongue in cheek (a hark back to Tool's Die Eier von Satan if you will).

Was able to witness their spectacular Pyrotechnics show headline the Big Day Out '01 in Melbourne where Til walks out on stage completely on fire; later garnishing a WWII era flamethrower to warm the crowd up!

As a side note, for those interested in the history of what was the biggest music festival in our great nation for many years, you can head over to https://www.kenfest.org/ to grab a few chapters from Controlled Kaos. It was to be released as part of the 30th anniversary of the BDO by Co-Founder Ken West in 2022. Unfortunately, Ken passed away in April 2022 only a few months after the endeavour was announced, and it does seem (so far at least) that publishing of the full memoir has been mothballed.
