When I think about one-album wonders, this band comes to mind. But the reality is they already had a number of albums under their belt from the post-grunge mid-90's hey day before this one went ballistic in 2000.
They gave an energetic performance at the Big Day Out in 2001 (Melbourne) and then followed that with an (in)famous 'mic drop' moment at the Sydney BDO that saw them walk off stage. Wasn't long after and they were no more, with The Mars Volta rising from their ashes.
It was then a long time between drinks 'till the next album dropped after a reunion of sorts. I haven't actually listened to the 2017 album, but given the random-o-meter has placed me here already, that might be an activity for today.
